I am a freelance photographer, based in the UK. All of the images have been taken over the last 25 years or so, and represent a fairly broad perspective of my work.
Technical information: although I now shoot almost exclusively digital, a number of images included here were taken on Kodachrome 64 or Fujichrome Provia 100 film using an assortment of Canon cameras and lenses; on occasion Bronica 6x6 equipment and Fujichrome Velvia film has been used. Monochrome infrared images were taken on Kodak film; the colour IR images were shot on Ektachrome film and processed in C-41 chemistry.
35mm transparencies were scanned using a Nikon Coolscan V ED film scanner and edited digitally using Adobe Photoshop CS2. Wildlife images have been left largely unaltered, although some cropping has been carried out where deemed necessary. Unless otherwise stated, all animals were photographed in their natural environment.
Most digital images were shot using a Canon 5D with 24-105mm and 100-400mm lenses.
